Retail Coffee Packaging
These projects focused on refreshing the overall look of Java House’s retail coffee packaging. The redesign transformed the original plain black bags into thoughtfully designed, finished products that better reflect the brand’s identity. Updated stickers were also created to maintain the familiar feel of the previous labels while aligning more closely with the current visual brand standards.
Coffee Bag Redesign
Project Overview
This project focused on redesigning Java House’s coffee packaging to update the previous plain black bags and bring them in line with the company’s current brand standards.
Design Approach
The goal was to refresh both the visual design and the written copy from earlier versions, creating packaging that felt more engaging while remaining clean and recognizable. Since Java House specializes in pour-over coffee, the design highlights these brewing instructions in a clear and visually interesting way.
Brand Integration
A key element of the redesign was reintroducing the original Java House logo from the 1990s and integrating it with the current logo. This combination helped create a design direction that feels both classic and contemporary, honoring the brand’s history while presenting a refreshed look.
Outcome
The final packaging design modernizes the coffee bags while preserving important brand elements, resulting in a clean, updated product that reflects both the heritage and current identity of Java House.

Coffee Bag Sticker Redesign
Project Overview
This project focused on redesigning the retail coffee stickers to complement the updated bag packaging. The goal was to refresh the design while maintaining recognizable brand elements for returning customers.
Design Approach
The redesign followed a similar direction as the bag update, balancing the new layout with vintage-inspired elements from earlier branding. To preserve shelf recognition, the existing color palette was largely maintained while being subtly softened to create a more refined and cohesive look.
Visual Hierarchy & Artwork
A key priority was improving the visual hierarchy so both the coffee names and artwork would stand out clearly. The layout was adjusted to give greater prominence to the original artwork from previous stickers, allowing it to be more visible rather than hidden behind text. Additional visual details were incorporated to enhance the artwork and help it function as a stronger focal point.
Outcome
The final sticker designs create a clearer hierarchy while highlighting the original artwork and maintaining familiar brand colors. This approach modernizes the packaging while ensuring the products remain easily recognizable.

Single Origin Sticker Designs
Here are a few examples of single-origin coffee sticker designs I created. These illustrations were originally developed for Java House’s earlier single-origin labels, and this project focused on reimagining that artwork in a fresh, updated way. The goal was to honor the original visual identity while introducing a more refined and contemporary feel that better reflects the brand today.
